Hi, Anyone got any experiences with the above 3D machine?..

If so are they worth getting/using?..

I've been looking at one of these myself, from what i've seen they are ok with some limitations. I don't think they work very well with sublifilm for doing phone cases etc; the film splits, I think due to the high temperature, the makers of these say to use "low temperature ink"
For me the big advantage is doing 4 mugs at a time in around 6 mins.

yes I have read that these ones don't use the film. However I have seen some videos using the paper works well?! But again the only limitation I can see is that only 1 case can be done at a time and iPad mini or normal won't fit.


I am looking at the this one from novachrome. http://www.novachrome.co.uk/3d-sublimat ... press.html. More expensive but can do more.. Am Unsure if this machine is any good but I am still researching at this time..

I have been given one of these machines and although I have not done much testing my initial thoughts are that its "okay"

Great for hobbyist or sampling, but on a production run it would be useless (in my opinion) as its too fragile.

I remember one particular supplier who was selling these, not only were they doing a bundle with lots of pucks etc they were also including spare handles. This is because they break easily.

So like I say, great as a hobby bit of kit and sampling, but when I get bulk orders I will switch to better suited machines.

All depends on what you want to do. There is nothing wrong with the mini vac it just needs to be handled carefully.

Having both this and the following I would say get the larger machine as you can do more with it, but there is a difference of £359 which is quite a few phone cases

Above all, by from a reputable supplier and I would not recommend importing this machine unless you are a dab hand at electronics.

I am wanting to do mugs, phone cases, ipad covers, photo frames, slate pretty much everything!..

I contacted the above mentioned and was advised they've stopped supplying that machine and only do the mini vac which I understand has its limitations because its small.

Can you advise of the reputable suppliers?..

Subliblanks sell it and they are a decent supplier

mini 3d press no good for doing slates as not big enough but perfect for everything eles
I use one for phone covers mugs water bottles ect

i have 2 of the mini 3d machines - do i like em....er....suppose...one keeps my coffee warm for ages
would i buy them again - Hell no !

NONE of these machines run perfect, and all will have there flaws from time to time - they are machines, and they WILL bugger up at some point !...ask simon(giraffe) about the big one lol

the small ones need more practice with the settings, times/temps ect, as they seem to vary some what from machine to machine.
the mini machines are fine if you only be doing the odd 3d cases here n there, and TBH, if you just starting out, i would get one of those first, and test the market - it aint what you think it is...TRUST ME LOL
