sorry all in advance if these are basic questions , having recently broke my back i need something to keep me occupied i dont need to make any money as i am not relying on this as a means to retire but i would like some good equipment and obviously i need to learn a lot as i don't even know how to put a design on a t shirt well i aint even got the software to do it yet , i have got some equipment like a roland plotter ,a ricoh printer with sublimation ink and about 100 sheets of sublimation paper ,now i tried to put a design on the sublimation paper and heat press it to a tshirt but nothing happened , my problem is do i need special t-shirt paper and different ink ,i have about another 600 pound for some stock to start and a new printer with different ink for t shirts can somebody please tell me the correct refillable cartridges for a decent printer and what paper i need to start ,thank you for -any help recieved

Assuming you do have sublimation ink in you printer then you need a polyester based tshirt to print onto. The usual suppliers sell the subli tees. Check your cartridges - if they are sunlimation ink then they will have a Sawgrass label on them, if they are plain black then they aren't sublimation.

hi bms ,thank you for the reply ,yes i did check they are subli inks ,would you say i should keep that printer purely for subli goods and buy a new printer with refillable cartridges for garments ,would you be able to recommend a good printer and refillable cartridge set up ,for around 200 pound ,i dont want to go the ciss route as i never heard many good story's about them ,
then where would you recommend i get paper for printing on to clothes and what ink would you recommend
