Take another 50 off the 3D press and I might consider it a good deal.

Black Friday Deals? A cynical marketing event.
I have had a stack of Black Friday marketing emails from a whole raft of suppliers - not DSF suppliers, from shoes and clothing to workshop tools and machinery.
It looks to me as though most of the so called deals have been the same items that have been on offer earlier in the year bundled up and punted out again - ie the deal is that for one week only (seems that Black Friday is now a week long event) you can buy all kinds of old tut for exactly the same price as it was previously.
As I understand it if the retailers had used the word SALE they would have to jump through all of the legal hoops that a sale requires. However, because it is not a 'sale' but an 'event' it would appear that all kinds of shenanigans are allowed.
Or am I just getting old and cynical

Now funny you should say that Arthur. I had wondered about the clearing old tat thing and the notable absence of the phrase sale, so perhaps it's just a case of we are both rather cynical.
