Hi all,
I am new to this but design is something that i have always taken an interest in. I have a Siser heat press that i picked up and yet to use it. I have a Ricoh on its way now but would like some help on a mug press please. I will be doing short runs on Promo stuff for some local bands nothing to big maybe 10 mugs and 20 T's so i think i am almost ready. I am seeing a lot on ebay lots of mugs and a heat press for £80! Am i right to think these will be crap? I have a such a small budget so if would consider second hand/used if that is the way forward?
Thanks Tim

You might be lucky getting something that will do the job but personally I'd put the money to something better. Listawood Genie press is getting some great reports. I use Adkins Studio which, whilst a fair bit more money pay for themselves very quickly. You might be lucky and find one second hand but they don't come up very often. if you join our Premium Membership you'll get 10% off any Listawood presses among other offers.

Plenty of threads discussing both on here. For me I only use Xpres 5013 now and smashproof boxes from Meshtex.

Hi Tim, Depending on what you are printing you might well be able to get a way with a cheap Chinese press.
I have found that the cheap ones are great at printing mugs with designs that don't go near the edges, like logo's for instance.
But if you are looking at printing full height and width things like photo's then it might well pay to go for something a bit more expensive.
