You're never going to be able to compete with shysters who put copyright-protected images onto items without permission. All you can do is report them.

He's easily making some profit because he's selling it for £4.99. Take off £2 for postage and that's £3 he's got. The cost of the mug can't be more than £2, so he's made £1 profit.

The only reason he's priced it at 99p + £4 postage is to defraud eBay from their fees, which I believe are less if the item is 99p.

Do you really want to compete with a shyster, or would you rather build up a good reputation for your business?

Probably not dishwasher safe and the mugs might even be seconds, that stack looks wonky to me. The only other suggestion I have is it is a lose leader to attract potential future customers

1st class postage on a mug is around £2.24 + the cost of bubble wrap and the box then an 11oz mug would set you back approx £1.00 including vat. Paper and ink + ebay listing, final value and paypal fees and its lucky if hes clearing 50p - 60p per mug.

There's no way you can compete against guys doing it for beer money or doing it cash in hand behind their bosses backs.

Just continuously report them to Ebay for selling fakes or whatever. They do take action eventually. He's likely to have the cheapest quality mugs and non- sawgrass ink so will be making a profit...... even if it is hardly worthwhile. Might even be a member of this forum!
