Hi everyone. Just completed a job for a customer. Seven blouses, full vinyl all over the back, small full colour transfer logo on the front and a small vinyl name. Any ideas on prices, I thought about £5 each?

Are you saying that you have spent time designing the layout, bought the blouses, vinyl, cut, weeded, printed the logo, cut, pressed everything and spent however many hours doing all this and now are only thinking of charging the client. Did you not give them a price/estimate when they saw the artwork?

Hi iain
Thank you for your quick reply. Yes I did all that but the blouses were supplied and it's family so just wondered what people would charge.

Well how close is the family? Direct family cover the costs of the material and a couple of beers or if its the partner, nudge, nudge

. Outside of that I charge full price because if their family like your work they then expect the family price and then it never ends.

agree with Iain. we have very good friends that we do a lot of little bits for. we always charge even if slightly lower rate. otherwise people take p$ss.

Completely agree with everyone. It was a lot of work but maybe due to my inexperience too. I was pleased with the result and so was the customer. Now for serious pricing.
