this thing is getting annoying, just a tad
i cant load in a batch of prints and walk away and do others things...why ?
it still loads/prints the 1st sheet ok, then the next one will fire straight through unprinted and stop the run.
hitting the restart button to continue the run mostly does the same dam thing...a4 straight out the printer unprinted
now, if i take the sheet that came out unprinted, and put it back in front (1st ) of the other sheets, it will load/print ok....
tried all sorts of sub papers.....
sometimes i get lucky and get a wee run going of about 3/4 sheets, then it back to the usual
what the hell is going on ?
is there some kind of calibration in this thing i need to do or something ?
i really, really think i am one unlucky sh** for equipment, i really am :frown:

I know this can happen with certain coated papers. I remember similar problems and ultimately it came down to switching papers. A temporary solution was cleaning the rollers and we even had a light sandpaper rubbed over main roller. Sticking with the same papers it ultimately came back. Have you tried running through standard paper?

hi bud...
takes plain copier paper no bother
have tried 3 brands of sub papers now, and all but the xpres papers give this problem....
the xpres sub papers i noticed are a lot, lot thinner than the others, almost same as copier paper
but the xxpres papers are no good for us, as we cant get the deep reds and blacks we need for certain products...no matter what profile we make for it

Had a similar problem with my 3110 last year, I could only load 3 sheets or it would feed several at once. Switched to Trupix and all working fine. Guess it is not a common problem or more people would report. One other thing I tried was slowing down the paper feed which is a Rhicoh driver feature, not sure if this is available for the Epson.

Hmm not a problem I have with my 1500, I have run trupix, TMT and currently run jetstream through it, all with no problem even on bulk runs.
HOWEVER.... I did have this problem with ebay invoices for a while, nothing else. Figure that one out! Then all was fine.
So no help really, but it did have me scratching my head.

Jetstream will give a better print than Xpres and should run through it okay.
