Produces a great lookibng result.
What would you guess to be the unit cost for that job as you did it, media and ink?

Hi Logo, can't answer for the BN20, but can answer that for a Roland VS so will be roughly the same.
Materials. Depending on what material you decide on will depend on the cost. But as an example. TMT sell transfer material that is 270mm wide (so a maximum print width of about 245mm and 25 meters long for £40. So £1.60 per meter. If you are running single garments then expect to lose about 50mm of material per job.
Ink will be pennies. Third party inks are £70 for 440ml and this will use naff all.
The only other material required is an application roll which is about £1.65 per meter for 500mm wide.
So as a rough idea on Paul's transfer I would guesstimate a maximum of 1.50 for both sides.
There are more expensive printable vinyl's so its really down to what you like using.

Simon is dead On with pricing. but i would say it was even less than that. I know that rip shows me price 0.17p for ink consumption. This is with genuine roland ink (220ml) Also mask cost me 0.99p per meter. (i noticed it gone up since i got it for 99p. its £1.03 now http://www.digiprint-supplies.com/cad-c ... s-m-1.html)

Might have to give that application roll a try Paul. I normally use Siser Evolution Pro which I like because of its hot peel which I note from your video so do you.

Hi Paul
Assuming you still use the printable vinyls from grafityp, can I ask why you don't use the application tape that they recommend? is it just because of the price. Is the mylar tape what you bought in the link above which is now £1.03?
Thanks
Lianne

Hi Lianne,
Yes. Stuff I use now cost £1.03 +vat. grafityp cost £1.65 +vat per meter (based on 25m log)
I use it ONLY because the price. Transfer tape has no effect on quality of print and its discarded after use. So I cant see any point of paying more. Tbh, I recon even £1.03 its to much for what it is.
