Im just looking for opinions on a logo Im working on so I can start using it on FB etc. Its a rough draft and the colours/font arent set in stone. It looks OK-ish but plain to me, extra sets of eyes over something can always lead down a new path for ideas. Excuse the size and I know the R is touching the G,

Not sure about the font and the outline, too busy. Perhaps a plainer font or something more modern?

brands without a preceding "the" sound stronger IMO
As above, the typeface/font choice looks dated
You're limiting your market from the outset saying you're only dong mugs
You want people to associate your company/brand with strong design (I assume) so your logo needs to reflect and communicate that.
You're also communicating that you 'just' print mugs, not design them, make them, love them, etc
Look at some big/successful brand logos, and look for trends in typeface, colour choices, arrangement, design, etc etc, and then think about what you could do that is on a par

Take the point about the "the" prefix. I only print mugs at the mo so it seemed logical but does limit things if I manage to move to other products.

Again this is just an idea, ignore the name, just the general idea.

The logo must be original and not look as if you are imitating a competitor. You will run into legal issues.

Not Disney, but businesses in the same line of work as the one pictured.
