Hi,

I have a design "Some people call me by my name, but most important call me father".

I think the meaning is quite obvious, that "most important people, like family, call me father".

Someone told me, that it should be most importantly instead of most important.
Maybe English is not my native language, but I don't think that most importantly is correct. It even sounds weird.

Could you please give me some advice?

EDIT

I forgot to attach a photo with an example. Maybe it will be easier.

I'd say that "most important" sounds incorrect in that sentence. Sorry

"most importantly" in that context would mean that people can call you by your name, but they *must* call you "father" - which is a bit .... well weird - a bit presumptive and perhaps domineering so it would be "Some people call me by my name, but most importantly, call me father"

I don't know if there is a way to correctly fix your sentence "Some people call me by my name, but most important call me father" to mean that its the important people in your life that call you father (ie your family).

Hmm... I thought about it, but repeating a noun people twice in the same sentence doesn't look good. At least I was taught, that we shouldn't do that.
I also thought about: "Some people call me by my name, but most important to me call me father", but in this sentence I repeat me word twice and they are too close to each other. Or is it only my thinking, because I'm focusing too much on this sentence? :D

I've uploaded an example in the first post. Maybe it will be easier with a photo :)

And this way we came back to the beginning of this design from my first post (see the first sentence of it). I just didn't use the article. Does it make a big difference i I use this article or not?
