Does anyone ship boxes of mugs to the USA? I've been getting a few wholesale requests from the USA, but not sure how to post a box of 36? I have a Royal Mail PPI account, but I don't know the weight limits or if I need to send it separately from my individual mug sales? How much roughly are you paying? Thanks.

Just check your business insurance allows you to sell to the USA. Standard policies may not cover you and you may need to pay a separate premium to sell to the USA.

We always use Parcel Monkey International for full cases to the US. Never failed to pick up a cheap parcelforce slot, often 1/3-1/2 of the cost of going direct to parcelforce. Only problem is you have to quote per job as the price can vary quite a bit from one day to the next. If your customers aren't on a tight timeline it's sometimes worth waiting a day or two for a cheeper slot. Off the top of my head they're about 15kg and are usually in the region of £40-£60.

I found another company, etail usa who can do a similar price. So I've got a few choices now...thanks. Are you sending 36 mugs in their original supplier box or re-boxing them safely?

I use Parcel Monkey for Parcelforce. I use original box (assuming that its trays in a box, in a box) then bubble wrap four layers.
So far it's worked!

Yep we use the original box with the cardboard dividers and just put some bubble wrap around each mug to pack it out a bit so they can't move. Then a couple strips of "FRAGILE" tape around top and bottom edge (although our experience sending single mugs with Royal Mail suggests they see this as a challenge rather than a warning :-( ).
