Apologies, I posted this in the wrong forum so im reposting here to try and get some more suggestions....
Hello,
I have been sublimating phone cases for just over a year with good success, never had any problems..
My set up is a Ricoh SG3110dn with sublijet inks, power driver.
Had this all working with no real problems other than blacks were sometimes a little light, no biggie.
Anyway, around 3 months ago I switched to City Ink Express sub ink for my Ricoh.
I flushed, cleaned and nozzle checked the heads multiples times and continued to print, I changed nothing settings wise as prints still came out exactly the same as before (I know now this is because sublijet was still in the system)
Anyway, the day came where my prints suddenly came out awful, all colours were shifting once pressed, this is because the sublijet inks were finally clear of the system. So I set up my printer and PS CS6 as per the City Ink Express instructions.
I installed the correct profile, custom made for my ink/paper/printer - colours still off.
I then contacted City Ink Express who have been absolutely amazing during this issue. They made me a new custom ICC and advised me to do some full page CMYK prints to fully clear the system.
80% of my ink and 120 pages of full colour printing later, my blacks are BLACK but all of my images have a green tint over them.
Thinking that the magenta wasn't firing properly, I again flushed, cleaned and ran the nozzle check, all good. But all images still shifting to this horrible green tint cast.
The images actually look fine when printed, no green cast, this only occurs once pressed.
I have adjusted temps from 180 to 190 to 200, light to medium pressure - all green cast. Paper type has not changed, ever.
I reset photoshop to default settings and set it up again as per City Ink Express guides - still no change.
I think City Ink Express are out of ideas and I dont blame them, ive been a real pain!
I have tried phone inserts from 3 different suppliers - all green cast.
I am now at the point of either:
A: Going back to sublijet (dont want to do this, the price is very high)
B: Selling up and quitting (hate quitting)
C: Buying new Ricoh to completely take printer/ink in system being the cause out of the equation (Can it be the problem given the image prints with no green tint?)
D: someone here becomes my saviour, points out something obvious and saves me and my business.
Many, Many thanks for any help
