Before I make the purchase of Ricoh SG3110DN from BMS with Sawgrass Inks.
Is this Ink (RICOH SG GX smart dye sublimation ink – SUBPRO-GX - from ink4inkjet)
ok and should I go for that Instead?
I have already found a supplier for good mugs here in Iceland, bought a mug press from Bms, have 2 good heatpresses and screen print equipments along with a background as a printer and graphic designer.
Mugs are next on the to do list but the price of the Sawgrass Inks makes no sense. I dont want the cheapest just a reliable supplier with good quality.
Can someone here recommend me what to do?

We are at present only using the Sawgrass ink as it is a known product and they do actually last reasonably well. I will get a second printer in the future to do some testing with ink from another supplier.
I do not wish to disrupt production while I try to sort out experimenting with different ink/paper to get acceptable results.

Inkforinkjet although great service the inks do not produce the same results as sawgrass for fine art and watercolour, both in colour and sharpness.
If your intention is to print solid RGB colours only eg keep calm / fonts only then inkforinkjet should do the job however for fine art and vibrant watercolours etc (the bulk of my business) best stick to sawgrass.

I exclusively use Sawgrass inks in my Ricoh and they perform well.
However....
The black is very sensitive and to a point that I currently refuse black mugs (the ones with the white panel). I might have to invest in another printer and different inks if I want to produce these style of mugs.
Anyone with a set up that produces the muts nuts in black mugs I would be interested to hear what you are running and will probably put another post about that so that everyone see's it...

Ok Bought the Ricoh 3110 and Sawgrass ink and has pressed some trials but the supplier of mugs is out of stock at the moment. Also didnt realize that the profile from Sawgrass was not usable on my old Mac. Have to print from my „younger“ computer (9 years old) with Inkscape insteed of the Illustrator on the older computer. Will post pictures when I get more mugs. Thanks for advises!
