Hi All,

Having read over and over a mass of forum posts I believe I've made my decisions on the setup for my new sub mug venture.

I see that Adkins are highly rated as one of the best mug presses out there. I'd be looking to acquire one (new or refurbished) in use with a Virtuoso SG400 A4 printer to start. Again I'll be looking to source either new or refurbished.

With regards to paper source, I'd be looking at Tex-R (sp?).

Can anyone advise on any potential issues with this setup?

Also, should I go for the above; is there a mug blank which will see better results than others? I fully understand with any setup there is trial and error involved to start with!

With regards to the Adkins presses... is there much variation out there or anything I should be mindful of? I see they do two ranges on their website.

Hoping to get up and running soon,

Lee

Firstly, I'd suggest thoroughly researching the mugs market before laying out for such expensive equipment, inks and paper.

Thanks, currently carrying out as much research as possible in this market. This forum is proving a valuable source of hints, tips and recommendations. I have some experience in the market and of retailing personalised gifts and vast experience in the wider retail and online retailing markets.

I'm hopeful that this plus my further research will allow me to get a foothold on my new venture. I'm a firm believer that if you're going to buy equipment, you should always buy quality.
