I've been putting it off for a few weeks now but decided today to go ahead and purchase the Virtuoso SG400 printer. Well, after seeing the new price increase since i looked a few weeks ago, i think i will be giving it a miss. Unbelievable increase! Anybody know why?
Cheers
Gareth

I think the official line is to do with stock & limited numbers of the Virtuoso available, but I could be wrong on that as we don't supply the Virtuosos, just the Ricoh SG3110DN, which we still have in stock at an un-altered price.

Thanks for your thoughts DyeSub. Il take a look at your site now. I noticed on another site earlier the sg3110dn had increased too but not by as much as the virtuoso. With the virtuoso now being sawgrass dedicated sub printer do you think the sg3110dn will become discontinued anytime soon? Cheers

Supply & Demand.

What do you consider the advantages of a Virtuoso over a Ricoh SG3110DN?

Even so, its a big increase that will possibly put alot of people off purchasing. The payback for a start will obviously take that much longer and i may be wrong but i believe the price of the HD inks have increased too. The only reason i was looking at the virtuoso over the SG3110DN was mainly because of the 2 year warranty, free cloud based creative software and the possibility that support for the SG3110DN may suffer or the printer may even become discontinued? Cheers

Ask the eBay seller on this if you can organise courier to pick up if you win auction:

Use www.parcel2go.com for best courier.

cheers for the link Uk printed mugs, looks in good condition too. I dont really need the mug press but suppose it would be ok for a back up. Only problem is it is around a 4 hour drive one way from where i am and he states in the listing he will not post. Thanks though, appreciate it.

The Ricoh SG3110DN was available for about £40-£50 a few months ago, just before they replaced it with their SG3110DN wireless version.
