Hi Guys

Just adding stuff to my basket on Ralawise this morning. I left it for a while as I was waiting on a customer to confirm something. Pretty sure I left it for about an hour or so. Anyway, just had an email through from Ralawise saying the following:

"We see you have left items in your bag" etc etc....

It then offers me a further 5% discount on my order if I order before 2pm.


Just a wee tip if you are ordering from Ralawise, add the stuff into your cart and then leave it for a while and see if you get the same :-)

Reminds me of booking a holiday last year,

Was a holiday park in cumbria, looked at their site to get costs, as i went to switch back to google up popped a message along the lines of please dont go, we will offer an extra 10% if you book now.

it almost makes it tempting to abandon all carts when shopping on line to see if they offer a deal.

having said that an abandoned cart module even dropping an email to say 'you never completed checkout' is believed to boost conversion, so is there a need to add the discount incentive as well?
