Just got back from the Printwear and Promo show at the NEC.

Was it worth the 6 hour round trip on the train? Not really.

I know it's print wear and garments but I was hoping to see a wider range of sublimation stock on display. I'd gone packing cards ready to buy sublimation jewellery for Valentines Day range but there was nothing.

It wasn't all a big loss though. I definitely need a Oki A3 laser printer with white toner and that's now at the top of my equipment purchasing list.

Anyone know if there is a trade show which is more aimed at sublimation printing for giftware, houseware and jewellery or fashion accessories.

Funny enough I had exactly the same feeling. Left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. Saw a few ideas but nothing earth shattering.

I would say one of the smaller roadshow events, but TBH if you are on the mailing list for The Magic Touch, Xpress, Listawood then you should pretty much be seeing all that is out there and available in the uk at the moment.

I think if funds are sufficient I'll be heading to the show in Germany next year that was posted on another thread. It's always nice to be able to see and feel possible items which is hard to do with a newsletter

There's not a great range on offer in the UK and it's all a bit boring. I've just ordered a batch of foldable tablet cases direct from China because you don't seem to be able to get them in the UK. It's one of the items I was hoping to find at the show yesterday. I'm also waiting to hear back from a Chinese supplier about sublimation tablet cases with inbuilt Bluetooth keyboards.

Alibaba offers a good range of choice even if you have to wait a while for delivery.

some of the smaller suppliers were at P&P last year. Why weren't they there this year - who knows but it wasn't due to lack of space as there was a sizeable chunk of the hall that was empty and screened off.

The PSI trade fair that I posted on another post was massive. I went three years ago though, maybe it has downsized. I dont know but I doubt it.
If you are going it might be in your interest to pester a few exhibitors to get a free ticket. The exhibitors have to be members of PSI and , in theory, so do the visitors. But I did see that this year you could buy an expensive, non members ticket to get in.
