Hi, I'm encountering a new issue with sublimating mugs!
I'm using photoshop and a Ricoh SG3110DN printer.
The color tone is shifting in shade 3/4 of the way horizontally across the print. All colors are effected. I think it's something to do with the artwork export from Indesign to PDF maybe, as only new artwork is experiencing this issue....existing artwork prints fine.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Jerry

Hi Jerry. In Photoshop, display the INFO panel (on the right hand side of the screen), click on the Selection Tool arrow (at the top of the Toolbar on the left hand side), then hover your mouse over different parts of your image and you will see the RGB values change in the INFO panel. That way you can tell if your actual image colours are constant or vary.

Hi webtrekker....thanks for the advise. I've done this and the RGB values are consistent in photoshop right the way across the print.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Sublisplash inks and print profile it it helps.
Thanks
Jerry

Is there an extra layer in the bottom half of the design before you flattened the image?

Jerry, if you drop me a PM I'll give you my email address if you want to send me your Photoshop file. I'll have a look and see if I can see what the trouble is and print it off on my Ricoh SG3110DN to see what I get. I'll let you know the result straight away.

Jerry. Got your email and have replied. For others following this thread, Jerry's image was fine in my Photoshop and printed fine on my Ricoh 3110 so I don't really know what's causing this issue. As the original image was imported from a PDF on Jerry's machine into his copy of Photoshop all I can suspect is that the import options may be different to mine, but that's just clutching at straws.
BTW, I have Photoshop CS5.

What happens if you save as a TIFF instead of a PDF?

Out of interest, what's the date on your cartridges?
