So the guys over at Vivid Chemical have taken there Reveal S film and after a few adjustments in the lab, have come up with Reveal SR! A specially designed film that allows the maximum range of colours to be transferred using the Ricoh and Sawgrass printers with existing sublimation ink!
Setup is quick and easy and you can be up and running in minutes.
It won't transfer photographic images, due to the limitations of the 4 color system, but for graphics, its a major improvement over the standard reveal S film in these printers!
10 Sheet trial packs are available so grab yourself a pack today Image:)
Happy sublimating guys!

Looks good, but what about using inks other than Sawgrass? Have wash tests been done and what were the results?

We haven’t tested it with a lot of other sublimation inks, results will vary depending on the ink and we only currently support it for use in the sawgrass and Ricoh printers. We have had excellent results with both sawgrass and sublisplash inks. However there is nothing stopping anybody trying it with their own sublimation ink.

We have found that it washes like reveal-S

When washed in a full load at 30 – 40 degrees there will be a small amount of colour loss in the first wash as any unfixed ink is removed following this it will age with the garment.

Better wash results will be seen when using a better-quality garment as there wont be as many fillers in a quality cotton garment as its the fillers that wash out with the first wash.

Hi John, Its not a printer that we have tested the film on, however it should work if you are running it with sublimation ink. If you give it a go please post the results it will be interesting to see.

Thanks for ther info - If using a Ricoh 5050n, would the profile I use for sublimation printing be ok, or would I need a new profile for the SR.
Cheers John

Hi John, Go with your regular profile and see what result you get, if you feel it isn't right get in touch and Adam will have a look at it for you.
