They say they can copy right your work for a year for £29.00 plus £1.00 per each piece of artwork, including VAT. I will leave the link in the description.

Rubbish. Copyright is automatic. You don't need to register. Whoever created the artwork has copyright to it by law.

I understand that as a designer you own the copyright but how do you prove you designed it?
Is this just not an independent storage facility that once you have your design you send it to them and it is held with them and you can,if ever required, produce the original file from an independent source with all the relevant dates and such.

If you're that paranoid then just upload to a cloud storage facility which will be date stamped. At the end of the day then unless you have the funds to pay a solicitor and to fight a case in the courts then quite frankly you can't do much anyway.

You also need to be able to prove that the infringer seen your work and copied it. Publishing it on a website or sales venue which can be date stamped can help prove that.

You don't need commercial copyright sites, but you can register designs officially. Here is the best advice:

Hmm i think this site is trying to make a fast £££. Personally i do not use or need these type of services. I put this site up to get some Clarification and to show other members thinking of using such a service to avoid it. Personally it pissed me of that someone is making money from this.
