I'm sure this has probably been asked before but can't find anything...

I've seen various listings for heat tape on ebay (from the likes of Signzworld etc) and wondered if the quality is any good? I have ordered some but I don't have anything to compare it to as I'm a newbie!:redface:

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Brilliant, thanks Ravisteam. Good to know it's working well.

I didn't fancy paying a big delivery charge from a dye sub supplier just to get a roll of tape, haha!

On a different note, do you find the 5mm is the best to use or does it just depend what you're using it on? I've ordered 5mm and 10mm to get me started.

Thanks again!

We stick to 20mm wide brown/gold tape which is more easy to handle. Usually works out to about £1.50 A roll if ordered from Chinese supplier on eBay although of course can take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

I've been buying from a seller called sumosuppliesuk on eBay and had no problems at all.

I can second Justin's suggestion - sumosupplies on ebay. Great tape, swift delivery, decent price. I use the 10mm, just find it easier to handle.

Always on Make An Offer, so you "Make an offer" which is refused and usually save around 30p! Lol, I still can't work out the idea of Make Offer if folk aren't prepared to drop the price, must be missing something.

Thanks all! Good to know it's good stuff.

Funnily enough I saw that sumosupplies yesterday and made an offer for 50p less than the asking price. They came back with a counter offer which only saved me 15p so I ended up finding it from someone else cheaper. I think they were still the cheapest for multiple rolls though, so now I know it's decent stuff I will go for the multi buy option... and maybe try another offer, lol!

Indeed Justin, does seem silly to put the option there if they're not particularly flexible on the price!

Thanks everyone!
