Grandkids coming over for long weekend I want to make some t-shirts with them and yes I do have some D-S shirts

.
I will get the youngsters to do a coloured drawing, there could be a few dinosaurs me thinks.
scan at 300dpi
mask out the white
and save as a PSD file, then print on the SG400. I also have a white Oki and cmyk Oki for standard shirts never done this before, from a drawing that is, I have printed shirts but always from supplied artwork.
Unfortunately I have to confess I have all the gear and IN THIS CASE NO IDEA.
Is this the right process, please advise

I would only suggest you print on WHITE t-shirts.
just use the standard Oki laser with Magic touch 3.1 or forever equivelent, printed mirror image
High pressure press 180c for 20 seconds.
If you don't have a press, forget it ... Iron not hot or high enuf pressure.
peel medium hot.
Using the white oki is too steep a learning curve

Hi Logobear, I purchased this equipment a while ago and just wanted to play with the dye-sub side of things a little, the grandkids they will not care as long as we are messing and playing. The dye-sub shirts were thrown in with the purchase deal so nothing to loose. I was just enquiring to see what might be my best option to get a kids drawing to a printed t-shirt.
I have printed around 6 shirts with the white oki using the 2 part forever system, as you say it's a learning process. Attached are two of the said shirts, it's a logo / brand for a youtube garage.

great idea about using the fabric pens, wife just gone shopping for them now. Do I press using a protective sheet?
In relation to the two shirts, you should have seen the first 4 and before that the first attempts in separating A & B papers, I had a few Basil Fawlty moments:mad::biggrin:
Your help appreciated.
