... does anyone know of a way to remove or reduce an unwanted faint ink bleed on a substrate?

I am trying to learn how to print bowls using a wrap and oven system (a setup I ditched ages ago as too unreliable and WAY too much faff). Keep getting perfectly usable bowls but with a faint ink bleed here and there, which is very annoying.

Is there any way to re-heat / bleach out / draw out? the staining?
TIA
Ruth

Hi Ruth. Just a couple of quick questions:

Can you show a picture of the wrapped bowl before placing in the oven?

What type of oven are you using, and the times and temps?

Ensure all sides of paper is taped to prevent gas escaping and use sheet of silicone paper between paper and wrap (cut to same wrap size) so old ink on wrap doesnt get back onto substrate. Might help.

... Also covering any exposed coated areas of the substrate will help reduce ink which is gassed and floating around the oven getting where it shouldn't.
