Hi all, I'm considering taking the plunge on an Epson 14000 (need to do some A3 and A3XL prints), I know a few of you use them on here, one quick question if I could get some feedback....I don't do Dye sub on a daily basis, so the printer could go unused for a few weeks at at time, are they prone to head blocks like the old Epsons were if not used daily? . Don't want to fork out and find every time I want to use it I've got to try and unblock the heads....
Cheers
Dave

Mine didn't like sublimation ink at all so it's been flushed filled with original Epson ink and put up on eBay.

I think unused for weeks is never good for any printer, even normal dye based printers. I print a nozzle test every 2nd or 3rd day and never had any problems so far with the 14000 but i own it not long enough but the ET2720, bought it like 7 months ago, no problems. I think its a matter of he ink as well. The sublinova ink is not bad in that regard

Thanks for the reply Daninho. Yes, I guess not good to leave any printer for weeks on end without printing. Currently use a Ricoh 3110 with sublisharp inks from inkexpress, this does go for several weeks without printing and never had a problem with blocked nozzles. Again thanks for your input, much appreciated

I only do the internal nozzle test every 3rd day since half a year, i rarely print real images on my printers because its just a hobby. The sublinova inks are from inkexperts as well and they seems to be very good against blocked print heads.

I have the ET1400 and 2 ET2600, all use Siblinova inks, as some of the folks have said, even if you do a printout once a week on standard paper if it's not getting used it should be ok.
