Hi all,

I have set up a ET-2710
it has an ink expects waste ink conversion
I'm using city ink express sub inks and sub paper
and also using there ICC profile for the printer
printer images via photoshop CS6
with settings;

paper type - epson matte
quality - high
colour correction - none
high speed unticked
mirror image ticked

when i print something more times then not the black leaks on to the printer
please see image

can anyone shed some light on why this is happening iv ran head cleans and nozzle checks etc
don't seem to make a difference
thanks michael

I think your print head might be knackered?
looks like blacks flooding and releasing ink.

Your first problem is you’re using city ink express inks and paper which is utter dog poop. It’s likely knackered your printhead.

I have had similar problems and finally found it was paper curling that caused it. I use a 115 gram paper and have got rid of the problem Having said that, if there is the tiniest bit of damage to the corner of the paper that will cause the same issue. If I notice it I cut the offending corner off. I now use Inkexperts paper.

Just want to say thanks to everyone i have binned everything i had in city ink express and a massive thanks to the guys a ink experts i since swapped out paper, ink and icc profiles to them and i have to say the first batch of test printing (ink pull through) the last 8-10 sheets all looked perfect so i think the printer is ok and not broken which is a nice plus :) and will be sticking with ink experts from now on :)
