Hi
Looking for recommendations for a RIP for sublimation printing. I've a Ricoh SG400/500/1000 and am in the process of considering swapping out the inks for InkExperts replacements. I've always used the Sawgrass Print Manager but it's horribly slow and a bit of a pain in the arse. Therefore I thought I should look for better options for a RIP.
Most of the work we do is printing from multi page PDF documents (some are 100+ pages, all unique) so I need something that will allow me to send a multi page PDF to my choice of machine with a chosen ICC profile. Who is using something that might work for me? I have had a quick look at SubliRIP but I don't really want all the "design" tools I just need something that will RIP my PDFs to my machine.
Thanks
Gary

Bump......Apologies for my impatience - anyone got experience of a RIP for sublimation printing that handles multi-page PDFs?

Is there a reason you are having to work from multi-page PDFs?
If you could split them into single pages, you could set up an action in Photoshop to send them to the printer, with it handing to ICC management

We print personalised mugs so every one is unique. The multi-page PDF contains all the designs (so every page is different).
I know what an action is in Photoshop but I'm not sure I understand how that would be effective. Are you envisaging we open each page of the PDF separately and then trigger the action to print the page? That's still a pretty labour intensive workflow....I was looking for "1.) Open Multi-page PDF, 2.) Send to the printer."

Hi Gary,
What about this?

I've not had time to run a trial but looks like it might fit your needs.

If you use Batch or Image Processor in Adobe Bridge, you can (in Tools>Photoshop) get it to apply an action to an entire folder of files, so your action would essentially be print file (with all the print settings etc) and then get it to process the folder with all the files in , and go and make a cup of tea while it does the printing

Looks interesting, thanks. I hadn't found that online. It also has "hot folders", nice.

Oh okay, I see yes the Batch option in Photoshop could do that. Okay, thanks for the input/idea. That's a possibility.
