Hello,
i have Epson L1800 with sublinova inks and when i print it on sublimation film and do sublimation on plastic phone case, some of designs have black dots on it. Maybe 10% of them have these dots, other designs are okay without any black dots / points. Can someone help me to understand why i am getting black dots on sublimation? I did head cleaning couple times and it dont help. I attach photos.

There are many variables for this so you need to eliminate them one by one...

Try a different design on a phone case. If the black dot appears then it is most likely the printer, if not then it is the design.

Assuming it is the printer, rotate the image and see where the black dot appears. If it is in the same place in relation to the page it could well be a mark on the rollers or a seal issue. If it appers in the same place in relation to the design then it is most likely an issue with the printhead or the seals.

If it is the seals then it is most likely that you need to replace the carts you use for sublimation. Over time the seal on these erode causing an air gap. Replacing the carts will normally solve it.
