For anyone who is a "newbie" the attached photo is a perfect example of the importance of using the correct paper for the substrate you are printing on to. The left hand image is using a paper advertised as a general purpose paper suitable across a range of sublimatable items. The right hand image is using a paper specifically for sublimating on to fabric.

Both were pressed at the same time, temperature and pressure.

As you can see there is a huge difference between the two (as well as the size :biggrin:). So if you are starting out get some sample packs from the varios companies and try various papers, investing now will make your life a lot easier in the future.

Hi Mark

This paper was from Ink Experts and is their Fabric HR paper. I must admit, I was really surprised at how different the print came out using this paper.

Thanks, never really considered trying anything other that one size fits all paper and do a few runners sports tops so might try it

I am exactly the same especially as I only really do hard surfaces, but was not getting any joy with the item I was trying to print. Decided this paper was worth a punt and glad I did
