Hi all,
just a quick hello, am looking to try and get ino the garment industry with my wife (hmm that sounds rather dubious), have been speaking to various "start up packages" companies, rapidly getting brassed off with them and considering just buying our own kit and getting stuck in.
Hopefully see you around the forum

"Getting stuck in" is great if you have the time and the aptitude to learn. There's no substitute for working it out for yourself. If you just want to start printing tomorrow, then that's what "startup packages" are there for.
Whatever you decide to do, you couldn't have come to a better place to starting doing it. Welcome to the forum.

Ordered an epson b1100 last week that should arrive early next week, picked up a second hand adkins swing press (the larger one) last night that came with a smaller platen as well, have an option on a second press if needed, just need to sort out the pesky cutter which is proving elusive.
Really fancy a Roland GX-24 as was quite impressed with it, the alternatives mimaki, summa and graphtec don't seem quite as good (from reading on another forum)

So long as you didn't order it from Amazon, you might just get it. I ordered a printer from them on 16th September and, in their wisdom, they shipped via HDNL (Hopeless Delivery Network Ltd). Still waiting for it. It's been stuck in a depot all week with about as much chance of moving as a hungry guy sitting next to a burger bar.
Makes me wonder why some companies use couriers that can't be bother to do the couriering.
