DSF

Just found an open pack of these in my many paper boxes but of course no instructions. Tried a google search but no luck.
On the off chance can anyone tell me/guess on dwell time and hot or cold peel.

Still no luck - 4 baby vests in - the kid will have outgrown them before I get one right and the beep of my crap t shirt press is driving me mad. But have discovered the pressure was my problem, not firm enough.
So least I think I know how to do it now....

OK - so what now? Followed the instructions to the letter and get a great transfer but for the line through the middle .... aaargh. That's my 8th attempt!!!! 3rd attempt with the Xpres paper. [ATTACH=CONFIG]893[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]894[/ATTACH]

first rule, cut the design up and reuse the baby vest (and next time practice on a t shirt or material peice, that way you are testing 1/4 of a sample (or 8th) at a time and not wasting valuable stock line in the middle almost look like a crease in the baby vest ?? you have the times and temp for the xpress paper ??

thanks Laura - I will test next time - just did not believe I could make such a hames of it every time! The line wasn't a crease in the vest - it was really flat and pre warmed, that bit just stayed on the paper ... cos the N above it came out fine. Followed the times and temps on the pack to the letter, found leaving it 4 secs more worked best.
Have a better (or rather a heavier more expensive one) heat press but OH has it in Kildare - living at opposite ends of the country is a pain at times - have to get him to bring it down this week.
I've had a read of some past threads and might order some Yolo paper - seems to have good reviews and then practise on an old t....

i only thought about the crease as it appears to continue down the bottom of the car and onto the vest ?? did you have a silicone sheet / greasproof sheet on it ?? and did you pad out the area you were printing on as with baby vests the neck is so thick you really need a cushion/pad to bring the middle up if that makes sense

Now it all makes sense. Thanks a million for that - know exactly what you mean - where can I get pads or what's the best thing to make them out of?

Have you got an old mousemat or something similar - that's all you need.

even a folded up bit of cloth will do, its hard with the baby vests, as you either have the bottom in with the poppers or the shoulders, i prefer to raise, and have the poppers in (but out of the way due to the raised area, and the shoulders completely out of the press, but try and see which you prefer
