Hi All,
Just joined up today, and thought it only polite to say hello to everyone.
Just a bit of background about me. I jumped in and brought a press and printer on impulse and now feel I can take on the world and make a fortune in just a few weeks ! (Did I really think that, or was it all just a dream
).
Seriously though, I have been self-employed most of my life, on and off, and am looking forward to see where this will go as a stream of income generation. Having started to read through the forums, I can see that there is good information to be had, and if possible I hope to be able to add to the information supply base in some form or the other.
It is my opinion that the print industry, like the media one, is the way forward for people wanting to compete with the big national and international companies on quality output on a limited budget. Most types of business these days are getting taken over by the big companies with big budgets and the "real" asset of the work environment (the people) are ending up on the PAYE system for the minimum amount of pay possible. From a personal point of view, I have no intention of creating wealth to be put in a few peoples pockets at the expense of me and mine
.
Who knows where this will go, but the fun is in the trying, or so my old mum would say.
Look forward to getting to know you all.
regards
Tony
