I am sorry for the idiots oops I meant wealthy that feel the need to spend their money on such trivial items. As if a used shuttlecock would ever be an item to put proudly on display?

Have you never 'collected' anything?

Some of these items may be just 'shuttlecocks' to you but to others they are iconic pieces of sporting history from the ultimate sporting event in the world - hence the collectability of them.

Although it doesn't say anything on the site about money being donated to charity, if it only pushes 'TEAM GB' forward in to having 'one' of the greatest Olympic Events ever then it's good in my book as that will bring more to the Country.

Again, this is only my personal view :)

No issues with your point of view. I think it is the unfair nature of the wealthy yet again getting the spoils that irks me. If these items had been donated to schools or hospitals for the enjoyment of not just the select few but the masses then maybe my opinion would be similar to yours.
