Hi All

for those that dont know i press mugs in house for bands merch (we are a recording studio) i used the Epson S22 after i have purchased this i was warned it wasnt the best reliability wise it has been used every other day and was pretty good but recevently the colour has gone strange and on Friday it was printing nothing you could here is moving like it was printing but nothing came out!!
i put the normal inkjet ink and printed it and it was find then put the sub back in and again nothing!!
in the mean time i have purchased a Ricoh via this site and cant wait to get my hands on it but i would love to try to work out whats happened to the epson?

Which ink are you using in it?

Hi Paul, im just using carts i purchased blanks and filled with the ink myself was working fine and have probably done 25-30 mugs
i bought the ricoh form a post on here in the buy & sell i PM's the person and paid via paypal :)

Well there are so many possibilities to chose from. The fact that none of the sublimation colours print out is odd especially as you say the standard cartridges do! Good luck in finding the issue and the solution.

Yes just before this is was blurred then printed all in yellow then nothing i topped up the carts even though they was half full and reset the ink levels on the printer ?!

well. if normal inks working fine then i would blame the refillable carts. i would not blame ink as nozzles are not blocked and printed fine.

Did you prime the carts?
Did you have the rubber bungs in the carts?

Hi Yes the printer primed itself after i reset the inks, i have the bungs on them yes ? just very strange and is bugging me lol

As the CISS is gravity fed you need to make sure the CISS is level and that the bungs are not causing a vacuum. Might be worth just removing them to allow the air pressure to equalise before putting them back in.
