I need some help please.

I have a Epson SX415 with a CISS system etc.

When i print things off with a gray or white area in them this area comes out red.

For example i have a image which is black and fade into gray and back to black but the faded area comes out red..

Any iedas i have tried every thing i can think of cleaning heads changing setting and i need this working today

Also have printed it off on my normal printer and this is working fine so have ruled out a pc problem in that respect.

How is the nozzle check? Can you print blocks of cmyk colour?

nozzel check seems to be fine when i cleaned them did a print out after and they were spot on..

What inks are you using?
What program are you printing from?
Do you have an ICC profile for the inks/printer loaded in?

Go to printing preferences - advance then tick grayscale on my sx model I also need to print in text or text image to allow grayscale.

What about when i print a photo white / grey areas in this are coming our very red..

Inks are ones i got withthe printing They are ***ink on the label *** sublimation ink.
The program is Photoshop CS V8
Not sure on the icc to be honest not suing one at the minute.

Only recently started getting the problem. not sure if it would tire in with installing a new graphics card. (Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS

I use Photoshop elements 9 and I found the only way to do black and white without it going red is to do what I said above if I require colour in the print I also go to colour controls and reduce the magenta to -10.

Unless you have disabled colour management, you will be using one, and most likely from what you are saying, one that is not for the inks that you are using. If your ink supplier cannot supply one, then you should get one made.

would i need to disable it on the printer or in photoshop? it used to be ok only recently that i have been getting the problem..

How do you go about getting one made and installing it? where would i find to disable it to try that as a temp fix.

No, you misunderstood, what I mean is unless you have purposely gone and told your program not to use colour management, then you will be using an ICC. My point is, that this isn't something you will have done, and so you are using an ICC, you just didn't know it, and it is the wrong one if you didn't get one with your inks to install.
You should talk to Paul on here to get one made. Without an ICC, your computer/printer does not know how to mix the inks you have to make the correct colours.
