Right here is my life story, I was looking for a hobby that could me some money on the side line. so in June/July 12 I took the plunge. I went the cheap route thinking I was clever than the rest, and bought a sx130 and dodgy inks from ebay. after about 5 months I wanted better quality goods so went down the Ricoh route. anyway still a bit bored at home today so I decided to print 2 mugs identical picture of PEN Y FFAN Mountain in wales. anyway here is the results, both quite different. which do you think is the best? and which printer is which?

IMO the one on the left is not been printed using the correct profile.

If I didn't do a compare test I would of been happy with my first result the one on the left is the Epson, its only when you compare it that it stands out....scary!

to me its look like there is not enough vivid in colors. but stones look like to much magneta in them. was this printer profiled or you used standard epson driver to print?

Both had individual profiles,
i was happy with both but when put together it stands out more.

To clarify - you had custom ICC profiles made for both of the printers?
Which inks from Ebay - were they proper branded, or generic Chinese?
Can you post a picture with both mugs showing the same part of the photo?
Can you post the photo used too, to be able to see what the original photo looks like?
Also, can you do two mugs - one with the standard Ricoh power driver, and another with the custom profile?
(assuming you are using the Sawgrass inks with the Ricoh?)
