Hello again!

i joined a while ago but got caught up in other stuff, anyway - back now and just about to purchase a mug press/printer startup package, most likely from BMS (unless anyone can convince me otherwise? )

I've read a lot of posts on this very interesting forum and have gleaned a heck of a lot of information already, so I hope I can get off to a flying start producing my custom mugs

As a newbie, I do however just wonder about which graphic package people suggest I use for mugs? - I'll be doing both photos and text

thanks

Chris

Welcome Chris.......IMO you can't go wrong buying from BMS. Regarding which software.....it's horses for courses (no pun intended considering the current food fiasco). Some prefer Photoshop I for one prefer Corel.....I can't get on with Photoshop.

thanks for that - i guess as (in the case of the Ricoh printer) you get the powerdriver software it doesn't really matter in terms of colour correction? - i always thought photoshop was a bit 'complicated'!

As a complete beginner I went to BMS.....met with and had a chat and a demo and found them excellent. I ended up buying a mug press and 7700 printer amongst other things and have to say it was a doddle to set up and get going. The only problem I had was my first few mugs were not quite right. A couple of calls to BMS and it was sorted. Yes Powerdriver does all the corrections for sub inks so just hit print and as long as you go through Powerdriver it's simple.

Welcome (again ck1). You can get photoshop elements which is pretty good and will enable you to do the basics. You'll need something that can help you manipulate pictures - have a look for GIMP as well (free!)
