Jenny, I use DHL to send parcels to Australia & they are very good. In fact the parcels are always there in 48 hours to be picked up from the depot by the customer. The driver who collects them always makes sure all the papers for customs is correct too. The best bit is they are on average 50% cheaper than Royal Mail too.

I always look at Interparcel and Parcels2go for items outside of the UK.
I have always found their rates pretty good and you have a choice of several companies to choose from and several different service levels. It will be cheaper to send using DHL or FEDEX etc through these guys than going direct as they have negotiated good rates.
