Hi, my printer seems to print black as brown and some images are faint the odd thing is all the ink levels show about a quarter left? is it likely i need to just these regardless?
Thanks
Chris

try pressing i thinbk you will find it changes once pressed, Blacks can be a little tricky to get right using a ricoh are you using the power driver? also when pressing you may need to cut the time pressed a little for blacks , this may need a little trial and error to get right

As brett said. Ricoh needs less time then epsons...
I dont own one myself and dont want to give wrong advicebut by reading other posts it.looks like if you use to high temp it can easly overcook your ink. And then turn blacks in brown. So less time and bit cooler press. But as i said. I dont know that out of experience. Only by reading posts about ricoh but is worth to try i think.

Just remember the printed paper always looks very differnt when pressed , you can spend all day trying to get the print right on the paper only to find it presses terrable my advice is get a scrap item old tshirt or something similar and experiment with times temps etc

Is your original image nice and crisp? Paul has a good picture that is available on the forum somewhere with lots of colours (a mug template design I seem to recall). It might be worth printing that out to check crispness - Paul, where is this file?
If that prints out blurry then you may need to check nozzle pattern and head alignment. I doubt changing your inks are going to make any difference at all.
