Any tips on UK suppliers of roll polyesters, especially ones which are around 1m rather than the more standard 1m50.
Especially looking for fabrics which would be good for cut and sew work for fashion/clothing - t-shirts/blouses, skirts, dresses, not the performance/sport type polyesters.

Po in to your local fabric shop. They will sort you out and let you see/touch all fabrics

Found a few suppliers specialising in poly for various printing processes, which takes the hit and miss approach away from using standard fabric shops. The first one we've gone ahead with using is called Brook International
http://www.brookinternational.com/ and they've been very helpful, with sdupplying swatch samples, and metre wide samples etc for us to try a few ideas out first.
I have a few others, but don't have the list with me.

Thanks pisquee.
I did send you a private message, not sure if you got it or i sent to wrong person. Would you be interested in some custom work for me, i supply all the graphics, its simple stuff and only a two colour print at any time. i am looking at a 56cm square print with a 10 mm overlap. Is this something you might be able to do for me?

Not sure if I got it or not - we've been so busy here the past few months with our own design work, that we've not had much (any) time to respond to emails for custom work or material supply. We're now on holiday, although very much working on admin and follow-up from Home & Gift. We're back in a couple of weeks, so could look at it then.

http://www.fabricland.co.uk/ sell a polycotton fabric at 65 poly /35 cotton. I am not sure if it will be good enough as I do not have the knowledge that Pisquee has, but I did see some garments printed at Fespa that were 65% polycotton blends that were pretty darn good.
Price on 50 meter rolls is 95p per meter including VAT and the roll is 114cm wide
I recently purchased some other fabric from them and the service was excellent.
P.S. The garments at Fespa were on the Sawgrass stand, but I am 100% sure that Inktec inks will be able to match (if not better) the print quality

Thanks Social, will try and get a sample of that, and give it a go - my wife's fussy with fabrics with her background as a textile artist, so will be up to her to decide in terms of look and feel, and for us both to see how well it prints through the rotary press.
As for the Sawgrass vs InkTec ... if anyone has a 9600 loaded with Sawgrass inks, I'd be happy to do a comparison. Ideally also using Coldenhove papers for as much like-for-like test as possible.
