Is it possible to convert this printer to dye sub inks or is it best left alone ?

Best left alone - you need Epson, Ricoh, or Brother

cheers for that , just to cheap to resist on ebay, original inks lol, sniped it at £26 for an A3 printer

it uses heat in the head to cure the ink, thus why you cant use it
