I currently have ricoh gx 3300n with sub ink, i am wanting to print onto baby garments ( as i currently machine embroider onto them)
Can i change the inks to the chromablast or will i need a new printer set up?
And is this set up suitable for that .. will i be able to print onto dark items too or will i need special paper
or is there a simpler set up i can use with cheaper paper as i have noticed its £40 for 100 sheets
thanks for any advice given

It depends on if you want to keep swapping over or if its a permanent move.
If permanent then I would say yes it is possible, but you would need to flush through the old ink which will cost quite a bit of ink/money.
If you are looking for a continually swapping scenario then forget it and look at the other thread you started for ideas on how to sole the issue

How would I flush it out?

So would be cheaper just to buy a brand new set up then?

I am not sure on the full instructions on swapping over inks and i would recommend you contact the supplier of the machine (if purchased from a recognised dye sub seller) and ask them exactly how to do it.
If not then contact Sawgrass direct.

Might not be cheaper, but certainly less hassle. You would probably flush through a good 50% of the inks and then need a replacement ink waste tank as well. If you go for new then you also get a new warranty on the new system.

Do you offer the Ricoh sg3110dn with the chromablast inks, i see you do it with the sub inks for around £311
Also would that set up allow me to print anything to put on any cotton items, dark or light fabrics?
