I have received some old black and white postcards which I scanned.The print on the transfer paper is black and white but when I transfer to a placemat or coaster I am geting a reddish tinge rather than clear black and white. Any thoughts.

just do a grey scale in photoshop and then add a little mgenta this works for me

go into image then into adjustments then scroll down to colour and then say add about 5 points magenta

If you are trying to get rid of a reddish tinge on black n white photos why would you add magenta.

I did not found any info about times and temps. in cases like that please add those information.
any way... give it few sec extra in the heat press

I press at 190, medium pressure for 50 secs.

I only have Photo Elements and do not have the adjustment option under image.
