How would you feel your identify is better protected in the forum?

What information do you think is required to join ?

Do you have to be fully verified by admin when joining ?

Will this make the suppliers more active on the forum if identity is so secure ?

Thought guys to protect all on the forum

When I see things being offered for sale the thought has crossed my mind, if this person is not an established member - who is to know if that person offering something for sale is genuine ?

There has to be an element of trust in any transaction, but I'm sure there are ways to protect members further.

maybe rule to accept paypal only and NEVER as a gift?? maybe paypal verified users for sale treads only?

You now need to be a Premium Member to start a thread in this section but not to respond. This way at least we have a record of who the person is that can be verified.

There is also a 25 post minimum but as we've found, it's not hard to respond to any thread and get to this count very quickly. I'll be looking at more ways to check sellers.

Please, please, never pay someone you don't know using Paypal Gift. This is either simply a way to avoid paying fees or worse still a scam.

come on guys lets have some ideas on this threat, it is for all of us to brain storm for new ideas to protect us all,ideas that you might even bring from a different forum that might just help

Isn't this what we're discussing?? Another option may be some sort of Escrow through the forum, we hold the money whilst you wait for the goods....just think aloud. I don't really want to get involved with all of that but whilst we're brainstorming......

how about all items should be photographed and have hand writen note with forum nick added to the photo so we know the item really exist and is in possession of seller?

Won't stop them selling it over and over though?

Is this thread just in relation to the buying/selling part of the forum, or the forum as a whole?
