SG3110DN Ricoh Printer Setup
Re: SG3110DN Ricoh Printer Setup
Hi folks. I managed to get a cable to connect to my laptop. Now I'm having problems registering on Sawgrass. I don't know how to find the codes it's looking for, seller not helping.
Can someone who has the above printer tell me what I need to do to print mugs? Which software makes it a sub image, in reverse? Any help appreciated.
Spike

Hi Spike, me again. Have you registered your printer on the SawGrass website. If my memory serves me right, you get the code in an email once you have registered. You should have had a box open up while installing the PowerDrivers where you will type in the code. Once that's done you will be good to go.
Kath
PS it is a bit of a pain as you have to go through the same process for each computer you have the PowerDrivers installed on.
Also you can use any graphic program that can print. The most popular being Photshop, Illustrator, and CorelDraw. I believe there is a free version of Photshop and Illustrator.
You just need to make sure you select the PowerDriver as the printer, not the Ricoh and using sublimation paper.

I have these 2. Which do I set as default now?

Hi Spike,
Didn't realise that you already used GIMP
GIMP is a great piece of software, some prefer it to Photoshop or Coral draw, I used GIMP myself in the early days
Might be best to stick with what you know

Re: SG3110DN Ricoh Printer Setup
Sorry, that's not very clear.
One is called PowerDriver-R - sg3110dn
The other is called PowerDriver-R - sg3110dn v4, (US)
Is it better to use the v4 US version?

Re: SG3110DN Ricoh Printer Setup
Hi spike I only have the one PowerDriver, but I would say go with the V4 as that is the latest version number for the PowerDriver.
With ref for printing mugs, if you search for Paul on the forum he has some free templates on his website that you might find useful.
Plus most of the suppliers have links to downloadable templates for sublimation substates re, mugs phone case etc.
Have fun , I loved it when we printed our first successful mug, though I did have a couple failures due mainly to user error

You are stars. Done my first mug and looks great but looks sepia in parts. Is that too hot or too long. Another thing is the press says no heating without mug in. Could be partly to blame but I waited quite a while til the press with the mug in was at the right temperature, then started. How'd you guys do it?
Knight. Gimp surpassed PS and Coral years ago. My wife is awesome with Coral Draw but can't come close to me on Gimp after a 2 minute tut on Youtube
Let go of the past, forget the Dark Side.
