blotches when printing with epson 1400

I've been using this printer for a while now and have had no problems, suddenly today, I have ink blotches all over my printout,

I have recently changed paper to the sawgrass type, I have already printed on this a few times though and had no problems.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be please?

I mean the paper when I first print it out.

I had this problem with my 7015 a while back, an easy fix was to put a line of black on every print at the top of the page,
this worked for me, worth a try!
Now I have a Ricoh I don't have to think about it unless I want to print A3 lol
