Have just pressed my first mug with my BMS mug press unfortunately I think the colour should be sharper and clearer. See photos. I pressed at 190 degrees Celsius for 90 seconds. Using an Epsom printer and Inkscape for drawing. Anyone out there using a BMS with any tips.

Have you got an ICC profile for your printer? What paper are you using? Also pull up a chair grab a large cup of coffee or tea and have a good look through this wonderful forum and you will find may posts about this issue. Good luck.
Many thanks
Iain

Equipment used A4 Ricoh printer, HP3085 Heat Press Graphtec cutter, Jarin mug press, CJV 30-60 solvent printer and lots of help from DSF.

I second Quinsfan.
Now it may sound like we are being awkward....but I promise you we aren't.
All the information is already on the forum in great detail, all you have to do is sit back, search and read....warning there is a lot to read!
You will gain all the information you need and possibly have a good giggle at some of the comments on route.

I would be more concerned about the lettering changing colour.

I have a Epson A3 with a custom ICC and ink I thought was great,
A few weeks ago I bought a Ricoh
The Epson hasn't been used since I got the Richo
You will get good results with a Epson and a custom ICC, but better results with a machine built for sublimation

Also why isn't the image mirrored on the paper?
Many thanks

Thanks for all your responses. The print out was a test to check size and colour. I did change the colour of the writing before reversing the image before printing for sublimation. The printer is an Epsom ICC compatible. I will look at temperature and heat press time. Again many thanks to all to have responded.

If you are using Epsom, then I would suggest you get an Epson printer instead! Epsom is where they have Horse racing!
