Transfer printer recomendation
Re: Transfer printer recomendation
Good morning all, I have decided on a Ricoh for my sub printing [mugs] but would like an honest to goodness recommendation for a printer to do transfer work using dye inks . All suggestions gratefully received.
Anything I achieve I learnt on here for ten quid a year:biggrin:

Re: Transfer printer recomendation
I use my Subli Ricoh (A4) to make the print for white or light t´s and for dark T´s I use the same printer and then press the transfer onto subli flock. The flock is then cut out and pressed onto whatever it has to go on.
Only drawback is that you are limited to shapes you can cut out.
For complicated shapes ( dark t´s) I have the Oki white.

Re: Transfer printer recomendation
Yes the Oki is good and I also use a Ricoh laser printer for my transfers that dont need white ( different Magic Touch paper for non Oki printers). But laser toner is expensive @ 189€ plus tax per colour which hurts when you have to renew all the colours at once.
And the transfer paper leaves a sticky finish on the t-shirt. This comes off when washed but it has to be explained to the customer.
