Question about getting an ICC profile

I am being asked to sublimate a colour chart so that a profile can be generated from it
Is this the normal proceedure?
I thought it would be chart on the paper I use

Depends on who is doing the profile.
The chart will need to be sublimated at some stage, how else would they know what the colours print like? So no concern.

Is the proceedure to send a printed sheet and a pressed item, I honestly thought you just sent a printed sheet but sending a sheet and item makes sense
I have messaged paul but he must be busy as not getting further replies
Company is Pure Profiles, personally I would prefer to use paul looking at all the posts that recommend him but I am in need of this quick

They will just need the pressed item/ items. Remember the item you press on can influence the profile. The white of unisub products is different to the white of a T-shirt etc. Just do as they ask, after all they will know what they want.

we have different profiles for the different things we print to, in an ideal world you'd be sending more than one thing to get a load of profiles, but white aluminium sheets work well for a one-fits-all approach.

Profiling can be quite interesting because it draws you into all sorts of areas regarding colour and spectrum. Explore it and have fun.

I got one from Paul.
I sent 3 printed charts- 2 of each on the paper im using. Didnt need to send mug or anything like that.

He is really busy tho but very very good my freind.
