I'm in the middle of a job and none of my cases are working out properly. Missing corners (which I never get), and ridiculously faded prints. Just used a laser temp gun and the top element is reaching 500deg F but the vacuum shelf (the one where the phone cases sit) is only coming up to around 200deg F, and the bottom element (the actual bottom of the inside of the press, under the bit that lifts up with the vacuum hose attached) is only reaching 70-80deg
Before I order a new machine, can I just ask someone to fire theirs up to 400deg F with both elements working, then once it reaches temp can they please take an actual temp reading so I know for sure that the bottom element is gubbed? I don't want to jump to conclusions, but my guess is that it should be much hotter than that otherwise it seems pointless to even have a bottom element in the first place.
Thanks!
Mark

Hi Arty,
You might wanna check for loose cable connections below the heating element...That is usually the case.
