What am I doing wrong?!
Re: What am I doing wrong?!
I am not sure but if you contact one of the suppliers found on the advertising banners they may be able to supply you with the correct ink and cartridges

Re: What am I doing wrong?!
Sawgrass don't support the 2100 so it will need to be the SG3110 or the SG400.Quinsfan;107160 wrote:I am not sure but if you contact one of the suppliers found on the advertising banners they may be able to supply you with the correct ink and cartridges

Re: What am I doing wrong?!
to the original poster
before you chuck in the towel here....
can you confirm please that you HAVE flushed out the inks carts with clear cleaning fluids ?
so when you do any print, it runs clear, and obviously no print....as i,m sure you said you have put in the original inks ( dye inks ) that came with the printer first, then
put in the sublimation inks after that
you HAVE TO flush out the dye inks FULLY FIRST, till it runs/prints clear....
you should also have spare set of carts especially for cleaning fluid and nothing else - then put your "sublimation" inks carts back in fresh.
note, if you have also topped up the ink carts first with dye inks, that came with the printer, and then just added the sub inks on top of the dye ink in the same carts,
you will need to chuck that ink out, and fully clean those carts, then replace with clean, fresh sub ink.
can you confirm you done that ??
also @ gary - cause it sold in those type of bottles m8, dont always assume it fake ink - people are buying inks in bulk, and splitting it into smaller bottles, and selling them on..illegal or not, its life m8

Re: What am I doing wrong?!
Is the printer I've got obsolete then ?

Re: What am I doing wrong?!
Not obsolete just not the normal printers used for sublimation. This is a very brief guide. I am the first to admit there are many more people on here who know more that me and am happy to be corrected. If you have a look through the suppliers on the banners you will see that most supply the Ricoh 3110 or the new Sawgrass printer ( a Ricoh rebranded) this is due to Sawgrass holding the patent to sublimation ink for small format printers. There has always been some dispute about their patent and it seems recently to have lapsed and now every Tom Dick and Harry can produce sublimation ink for the small printer market. I know there are people on this forum who are more experienced than me to comment about these other inks but for me the simplicity of the Sawgrass Gel ink and the powerdriver are great.

Re: What am I doing wrong?!
I appreciate your input here and I do wish now I had come here before buying the one I did but the upside is I won't be now chasing after different things to make it work X thank you
